Lippit House Renovation
Originally a rustic South County “summer camp” with limited facilities, the owner commissioned DSR AIA & Assoc. to expand, modernize and thoroughly renovate the structure of this modern classic originally designed in the mid 1950’s by Rockwell DuMoulin, architect, included in the project was the addition of a much-needed kitchen wing, which freed up the capacious Great Room for family gatherings and entertaining, the modernization of all bathrooms, the addition of modern plumbing, lighting and laundry facilities, together with re-facing the interior walls with oiled fir plywood. What had once been a bachelor’s rustic cabin and get-away from the city was transformed, albeit with a light touch, into a comfortable family summer retreat on beautiful Long Pond.
