The new Edgewood Yacht Club replaces an early 20thC shingle style building lost to fire in 2012. The design reflects the essence of the original in character, scale and materials.
A graduate of RISD’s Architecture program, Don worked in Portugal and London before returning to the US and winning an NEA Grant to be the Architect-in-Residence for Newport, RI. Subsequently he was an architect at The Architects Collaborative, in Cambridge, MA, and one of three Architects for the Corporation at DEC. Several of his projects have been published. Don was awarded Utility and Design patents in the Renewable energy field for Solar Canopy, LLC.
Nick Richardson
Don’s son Nick has become an integral part of DSRAIA. Nick is a graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art. He employs various design softwares, rendering programs, and photo editing tools in such a creative way, that you may mistake these images for completed works!
